Alex Marie Manriquez
Born and raised in
Riverside, California, Alex Marie spent her childhood aspiring to be a business
owner. She earned her Bachelors of Science degree from California State
Polytechnic University, Pomona in Hospitality Management with the intention of
opening her own restaurant. After 10-years in the restaurant industry, she
changed paths and began her marketing career. Today she runs My Social Calling,
a successful social media and digital marketing consultancy.
Since it's inception, she has been helping businesses and organizations create
and implement successful digital strategies. Her clients have ranged from small
businesses to Fortune 100. Past clients have included Toyota, Shell Oil,
and nonprofit organizations Hispanas Organized for Political Equality (HOPE) and the Hispanic Scholarship Fund.
Sought after as a thought leader, she helped write “Content Marketing For

Clients And Become A Legal Thought Leader,” an Amazon best seller. Her work in
digital communications has also been recognized with an award from Latinos in
Social Media (LATISM) in 2015.
When not working on marketing campaigns, her
favorite activities include supporting local nonprofits, exploring new culinary
hot spots, learning about the latest in tech, and spending time with her
